Welcome to my little home on the web. Though somewhat eclectic, my current research centers on metaphysical and epistemological questions turned up by philosophical attention to science ("applied M&E", if you will): I'm interesting in the relationship between metaphysics and the sciences as well as metaphysical questions stemming from scientific practice (such as how we should think of the subjects of systems of scientific classification).  More recently, I have been interested in using frameworks within social epistemology and the philosophy of science to pursue questions concerning the lay public's understanding of science.
